Post Collecting Police Information Data Sheet

Hello, I saw a posting a long time ago from Heinz, so I e-mailed him and we are trying to gather information on police Lugers.
Together we made the following chart, asking for this information.

Chamber Date
1920 Property Mark
Serial Number
Imperial Proofs?
Mfg Mark On Toggle
Unit Marking
Sear Safety
Magazine Safety (Yes, No Or Removed)
Indications Of Post Police Use (I.E. Wermacht Proofs Added)
Barrel Markings
Magazine Type
Magazine Proofs
Mag Manufacture Mark
Location Of Mark On Mag
Mag Bottom Type
Mag Bottom Marks
Holster
Year
Type (Police, Military, Converted)
Holster Marks
Markings On Front
Marking On Back

If you would like to include your information and exclude the serial number, I would still like to get it, but will not display it on the chart.

I have the chart in Microsoft Word, or you may just e-mail Heinz @ mailto:[email protected][email protected]</a> or me and if you want, you may leave the information here and I will add it to the chart.
Ed

I will join in soon, just been busy. It would be nice too catalog them, just never have. Give me a few weeks. Also over the next few years I plan on selling off most if not all of the pistols and accessories.

Sounds good, the info, not the sell off!

I understand the lack of time, I have some extra right now and I still have an abundance of chores to do!

Power went out in the garage, now I gotta dig a 100 foot trench, but I think I'l rent a machine,

Nice Ed. It will be interesting as the number of samples increases. The Weimar Police seem to have been better at keeping magazines together with the pistol. A little calmer conditions that the Imperial Army perhaps.

Hello all, Heinz and I received about another half dozen police pistols that I added to the database. I switched over to Excel, but those without Excel, here also is a version in Word. {{BTW, Heinz's first version was Excel, live and learn! }}

Excel:
http://boards.rennlist.com/lfupload/...ation7July.xls

Word:
http://boards.rennlist.com/lfupload/...ation7July.doc

The Excel version has the magazines and holster info on sheet two, I did not include this on the Word version.

Ed, it's my understanding that the East German rework pistols were intended for police use. One I have has two matching mags marked 1 & 2. Are you interested in the EG pistols? I also have a police pistol w/sear safety and removed mag safety that I'll send you the data for later.

Doubs, I think that ANY police info would love to find its way to the listing.

Great!

Ed & Heinz, data for two Police Lugers sent to Ed via private e-mails. I hope this helps and if you have questions about either, I'll do my best to answer.
