That story is wonderful; I still remember the SN of my first issued M-1 (1600902) although I never remember anniversaries; would be curious as to where it is today. Tom A |

The question of being able to remember the serial number of your service rifle should not come up. When a man leaves the service, his service rifle should leave with him. That it ain't so, is a sad commentary on the general state of affairs. |
