tacfoly,
The British 'government' is a bunch of hoodlums and crooks who are afraid of the rabble. It is about time that the 'subjects' (not citizens) of Britain turned their keepers out. (Bye the bye, tacfoley, you are about the wittiest writer that I have encountered in quite a bit. Always a pleasure of expression to read.)

Thanks John D. Swiss Family is now totally accessible. I am in your debt, sir. And as a token of my gratitude, I will refuse to divulge to John S. the meaning of your concatenated blither posted earlier! <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" /> back atcha!

You stated my rhetoric is "blither"??? I'll have you know, Sir - that one man's "blither" is another man's "blather".... John D. Blathering on..... Oh - thanks for not sharing the code with John - not me "John", but rather, the "other John". It should drive him suitably â??nutsâ? Tacfoley, I'm sure you're correct in stating that
most of the illegally held arms in JOE are in the possession of "drug dealers and the like" but don't you think quite a few were legaly held arms until one morning they weren't. If you had uncle Basil's Webley under the bed and the King's Men didn't know about it... well

I fear that something similar will be in the works soon in Canada. I wonder how many law abiding firearm owners will turn into "instant criminals" after the upcoming deadline?

An arrogant government may find itself very unemployed.

Tacfoley;
The bravado-free answer is of course that we will stand and deliver. I know that I tend toward paranoia in this area but I fear that we may live to see confiscations here. If all guns were outlawed tomorrow of course all Hell would break loose. The disarmers are sniping away on the margins. Here in Colorado we've closed that pesky "gun show loophole" so it's pretty difficult to buy a gun today and not have it registered.
