Thanks Tom, I didn't know about the I or the II's as being good to go! I hadn't seen any ref's or pictures in the gun books I have, or I missed them.

The finger side of the grip frame does look like it may have been stamped at one time. There is pitting just down the center about 1/4 in wide and possibly some faint numbers - I will try to get a photo, but based on what I have been able to produce so far, it is doubtful. To get the closeups I have to take the picture through a magnifying glass! I guess I need a better camera, but will work with what I got.

I will also try to get a better picture of the II and stamp or stamps under it.

We appreciate the help.

Reference to STARK mags is also listed in Walter's Luger Book, Page 249, but with credit to Costanzo's(WOL1); production was from 1923 to 1935 in Berlin and Saxon.
