Same to you GT. The gun shoots very well. I've got it and a new holster for it hanging in a safe quiet place. Nice gun.

Hey RK! Nice to hear from you! That P.38 was the nicest one I could find.. but I've seen a few mint ones lately at gun shows...wouldn't want to shoot them... So, probably wouldn't buy them... I'm leaning more and more toward the shooting end of this hobby as I get older... I had my first experience with a full military Humvee this week (86 vintage)... had to get it started and didn't realize they were a 24 volt system... changing batteries in the middle of a firefight must be a real stressful.... also.. not a lot of protection..although I realize they were never intended for the role they have to play in the middle east... Can't always pick your wars... I sincerely & truly wish the best for our troops over seas... they're fighting some real maniacs!! Always hard to deal with crazy... the greatest generation is coming around again.... Best to all, til...lat'r..GT

I've never really been into collecting, just too many out there I love to shoot and haven't shot yet. Sunday afternoon I took out my DSA FAL and Colt 6501, the FAL has a 14X Springfield scope, the other a Colt 4X, needless to say I did better with the FAL. I put up a 10"x10" target at 200yds, fired 10 shots, walked out, rehung target, fired another 10, ect. I put 150 rounds through the FAL and about the same through the Colt. I got all of them on the target but if there was a MOA I couldn't find it. This geting old ain't no deal. Shakes, jitters, can't see, scope seems to jump all over the place, but I still shoot anyway. Got my first cowboy .44 from Tom Heller last week, nice gun, killed a possum in the garbage can with it a couple of days later. Nobody was looking so I called it out into the street and told it to draw. I know how those things play dead but after five shots it wasn't playing. Don't have to worry about water collecting in the garbage can now. And I ruined my deer rifle last week (shot a coyote with it) so I'm looking for a new one. Thinking about a Savage in .270. Humvees are big & heavy. I'm glad the one that ran over me had a good suspension.

Hi RK! Yes, I totally agree... There are way too many neat guns, old and new.. at the Phoenix SAR show I really got an eye full of neat modern weapons... distracted me from the collectibles somewhat.. And, I definitly feel for you on the deer rifle tragedy!! I have ruined many a good deer rifle in the same manner! I had never even thought about a possum playing possum??? Sounds like an ambush tactic to me... I got chased by an enraged muskrat one time, with a still hot, empty, MK 1 Ruger in my hand... The retreat certainly wasn't text book.. and he had this increadible leaping ability, which I, for some reason lack?? I can still see the flashing teeth, It was a trap all the way... I barely escaped with my ankles intact ... Also learned another very valuable lesson that day... the longer the barrel, the better the club!!! After they lock open,(follows a dazzling display of shooting!) 4" barrels are for throwing...6" and longer are for clubbing... AND, only shoot at muskrats that are on pavement of some type, as they are at a distinct advantage in an ice and snow environment!... Pretty harrowing tale to tell right before Christmas, But hell, I was there!! Best to all! til...lat'r...GT
