Default Broomhandle carbine

I looked at briefly, but didn't examine, a Broomhandle carbine yesterday at the gunshow. It appeared to have a 16" or so barrel, might have been a little longer, but was partially hidden behind other guns. It seemed to be nicely refinished and had a stock which very much reminded me of a TC carbine design.

I didn't ask many questions about this or ask to examine it as I wasn't seriously interested in it, so that's about all I know. The guy said, "some outfit out of California," did it, but he was very vague and really didn't seem to know about that for sure.

Price was 2300 bucks.

Anyone have any thoughts or impressions.

It was probably one of those done in the 1980 by, I think, Pacific Arms, using Chinese imported pieces as donor guns. Think they sold back then for between $900-1500 depending how much bling-bling you wanted. A bunch were made but were not too popular.
