Yes, if it was JRT it'd be my dads initials!

Seriously, it looks familar to me, but I don't have Costanzo to look it up right now. Looks like a commercial stamping, after-market...

Lugerfreund and Ed,

I checked my copy of Costanzo and could not find the circle JWR, I could have missed it but I don't think so. Anyone else have any information on this marking?

Thanks,
Bob M.

I would bet that JWR are the initials of a gunsmith/customizer. John Martz usually installs one of his JVM marked center toggle links on his creations. TH

Thanks for friendly help.

I have checked the logo by Swiss and GB collectors , but its unknown there.

GB >> BNP proof mark
Swiss >> "swiss cross" proofmark on swiss barrel

It could be a swiss rework. Small numbers has been refinished at swiss arsenals and rebarreled from 9mm to 7,65 (.30 luger) around 1920/25 because no export of german made hand guns to Swiss. Made during the time gap between old DWM contract and later domestic production at WF Bern

The allover condition is very fine , no rust or tool markings under blue finish and all fittings are very tight. It shows very small wear after refinishing , so it has be done many decades ago.

In case of any new informations coming in i will let you know

Thanks @ all !
