DMW Luger
I have chrome plated DMW luger serial # 7958 with a cursive "L" under it. Above it there is a crown over the letter "M". Both markings are on the bottom of the barrel ajacent to the frame. The frame also has the same serial #. On the front of the vront sight there is the letter "D". The number 58 is stamped on some of the small parts. I think it is a 7.65 mm caliber but not sure. The nag is not correct, serial # 7808 also with the cursive "L".
Can anyone hepl me ID this and put a value on it> It has obviously been chromed after the fact. Other than these, I can find no other marks on the firearm. I can send pictures if required Thanks Vic |

Welcome to the forum Vic!
It sounds like you have a shooter / parts gun, but further info and pictures would help. No off the shelf lugers came chromed or nickled, it was done in the post war years, especially in the 1940's and 1950's. is germany marked anywhere? Value for chromed lugers is les than most shooters, I bought one for $325 a couple of months ago. ed |

Ed:
I can't figure out how to post more than one picture in the forum. If you can send me your email address I can send you a number of pics. Thanks Vic [email protected] |

Vic, the catch to posting more than one is to go where you post one, then instead of posting one, go to the right corner and upload, copying EACH url, and then placing the url in the ADD REPLY boxing.
I also moderate on Jan Still's forum, so saw your other pictures. Ed
