Default firing pin not resetting ?

Shot my 1917 Erfurt for the first time. When shooting consecutive rounds, it will fire, eject, reload but the firing pin is not set to fire. Any suggestions? Thanks

Does it reset when you manually pull the toggle back every time rapidly while holding the trigger back?

It is possible that your sear engagement is inadequate, and if so, this could be a dangerous condition which may cause the Luger to go full auto unexpectedly...

I would recommend a very thorough cleaning of the firing pin, sear, breechblock channel where the firing pin is installed, and the spring plunger on the end of the sear bar... also the sideplate components. Once clean, then lubricate with breakfree and try again.

If you can't cure this condition, I recommend you send the gun to Ted Green (THOR), Hugh Clark (Hugh) or Tom Heller (LUGERDOC) to have them fix the problem for you...

Default trigger

is this a case of the striker is not cocked after it returns to battery or the disconnector is not resetting when you release the trigger? I had a case of the disconnector not resetting due to a misfitted trigger lever.
