Default Are there 1927, 1928 dated Lugers?

I know that many collectors databases show a few 1927 and 1928 dated Lugers, but does anyone actually have one, two, three or know of where some are?

My database of Simsonâ??s shows 30+ 1925's, and about 10 1926's, and one 1927 and one 1928.
Fake or real, I believe the number is insignificant to rely on that 1927 or 1928 was date stamped on many guns.

My feeling is that in 1927 there was a conscious decision to quit dating guns, at least Lugers, the why is harder to prove unless we can find documents that state thisâ?¦

Comments welcome;

Ed

I was surprised. Received no replies on this forum, Jan's forum and on the NAPCA forum. At work we say; "negative replies, equals acceptance to what was said"

interesting...

Ed, I have never seen a 1927 or 28 dated Luger, but if there is a strong enough demand, I'm sure that some will be discovered.
