Two newly acquired German Pocket Pistols
I just purchased/received these two German made pocket pistols and thought I would share some pictures with the Luger forum members. They both are in pristine almost new condition and the workmanship or craftsmanship is of the highest caliber. The fit and finish of both small pistols is extraordinary.
The first is a fairly early Walther Model 8 (6.35mm caliber) 1st variation with a DRGM marked and RZM stamped shoulder holster. This pistol is the parent predecessor to the soon to be born Walther PP and PPK famous pistols. The second is a Mauser WTP Model 1 (6.35mm caliber) with a small (unmarked) soft leather holster. The Mauser WTP was offered by Mauser from about 1921/22 to right around 1940. Approximately 75,000 were produced in a Model 1 and then a Model 2 series with three variaitions in each model series. It was introduced by Mauser to compete with the Colt and FN Browning small pocket pistols that proved to be much more popular than this Mauser offering. All WTP pistols are Crown U proofed. The example pictured is a very late (1937 early 1938) model 1. |

WOW Loyd! The Grips on the Model 8 are really nice! The two holsters are stunning as well. Very beautiful pistols, both of them. Jerry Burney
