Council members in Geuda Springs, Kansas, population 210, have passed an ordinance requiring residents to keep a gun in the house, or pay a $10 fine. Officials said homeowners had to protect themselves, since Gueda Springs can't afford a police force. "Everybody out of town is making this thier business," said shop owner Phillip Russell. Sounded like a good idea to me, but I read in the newspaper that the Governor overruled and repealed the new ordinance. Isn't there a town in Georgia with a similiar ordnance?

Stevie, might be so, I doubt if they will make mention of it. A town here is southern Utah did something similar last year, and got a lot of flak for it.

Years ago Kennesaw, Ga. passed a similar law reguiring every home to have a firearm, or be delared exempt by the city council. Supposably, this was done in reaction to Morton Grove, a Chicago suburb, IL. outlawing firearms possession in it's city limits. TH.
