1940 Erfurt
Got an email from a fellow today and he is interested in restoring a 1940 Erfurt with all matching numbers that is Chrome or nickel plated. There is actually an example like this in Jan Still's " Weimar and Early Nazi Lugers" on page 246 that is a police Luger complete with sear safety and police marked type 3 Army magazines. The variation shown in Jan's book also has some other police acceptance markings. It has the 1940 Mauser receiver and frame with Mauser hump. My potential client says his is all matching but I yet to see any pictures. An interesting variation.
