Help please with a Holster
Hi guys,
I am asking for help in finding the proper holster for the Luger depicted in the pictures I have posted. I sold this Luger to a friend who lives in a hurricane stricken area and he is still without internet service. I am trying to help him find a holster. I want to be sure it is correct for this Luger. To avoid any possible error, I am asking you to please tell me what to look for and possibly where to find one. The Luger, BTW, is a near flawless 1941 BYF with matching clip. Yes, I am sorry now that I sold it, Mike |

Hi Mike,
The folks at the Simpson LTD shop have a couple of '41 dated holsters for sale on their web site, in varying price range... http://www.simpsonltd.com/index.php?cPath=60_68 Gil Hoffman has a couple of ones listed as well...but no photos and he usually does not take/send photos : http://www.ggrelics.com/holsters.html Joe Salter has a very nice one with photos on his site. Go to his home page, select holsters, and look for item # 3336 : http://www.joesalter.com/ Randy Bessler has a '41 (with modified belt hanger...) and a very nice '42 for sale on his site : http://www.collectorfirearms.us/Luge...scriptions.htm |

Pete,
Thanks for the reply and the abundant list of websites. Should the holster for this Luger necessarily be black? There are a few on ebay, but some are brown. Mike |

If it is an army holster, then it "should" be black, and brown holsters usually sell for 1/4 to 1/2 more than black anyway....

Thanks Ed,
That is the info he needed. We spoke today and he is ready and anxious to make the purchase. I will call him tonight with all this information. I will have to be his eyes on the internet. Hopefully I will make the right decision. Mike |
