Numbering system mismatch
In the â??technical informationâ?, â??parts list and disassemblyâ? page, the numbering system on the parts list does not match the numbering system on the disassembly illustration. Is there any way we can get these to match? If nothing else it would make things easier for us Luger newbies.

not easily, they are taken from two different manuals.
Now, if someone blows them way up and manually marks over and then changes them, I am sure that John would post the updated chart... Ed

I will give it a first attempt tonight. As a Luger newbie it will be interesting to see what I come up with.

I decided that it was easier to change the parts list to match the illustration since the parts list included small parts that are not illustrated, such as a magazine breakdown, and disconnecter parts. When I find time, I will attempt to add these sub assemblies to the illustration.
Here is the current list: 001 Front sight 002 Barrel 003 Extractor 004 Forward link of toggle joint 005 Extractor spring 006 Rear link of toggle joint 007 Connecting pin between forward and rear link 008 Coupling link for recoil spring pin 009 Coupling link for recoil spring 010 Breechblock 011 Extractor pin or rivet 012 Connecting pin between breechblock and forward link 013 Firing pin 014 Firing pin spring 015 Breechblock end piece 016 Ejector 017 Receiver or barrel extension 018 Trigger bar or sear 019 Trigger bar or sear spring 020 Connecting pin between rear link and receiver 021 Magazine holder catch 022 Breechblock catch link or holdopen 023 Recoil spring lever 024 Frame 025 Locking bolt 026 Trigger 027 Trigger spring 028 Magazine holder catch spring 029 Safety catch or thumb safety lever pin 030 Recoil spring lever pin 031 Safety sear 032 Safety catch or thumb safety lever 033 Recoil spring 034 Recoil spring lever bar 035 right grip 036 grip screw right 037 left grip 038 grip screw left 039 Trigger plate, trigger cover plate or side plate 040 Magazine 107 Trigger lever pin 108 Trigger lever I did increased the resolution of the exploded view, increased the size by 30%, then changed the contrast to sharpen the image so that it looks better at the size presented on the site.
