Default Luger artillery rig on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7241945756

Just a word to new collectors... this rig on ebay looks nice, but is certainly a new reproduction that has been used...

The price is very high ($195 to start) , and you have to pay the shipping and insurance too.

A brand new reproduction rig like this can be had directly from CMR in the UK for about $50 less than the opening bid and no one will have weathered it for you to make it look old...

New collectors are advised to do dilligent research before investing in Lugers or accessories...

It is wisely stated that the "tuition" at Luger university can be VERY expensive...

Ask your questions about Lugers and their accessories in this forum before you spend your hard earned money. Your questions are never stupid... but the answers may keep you from making an expensive mistake.

I sold one of these repro rigs a couple of years back to a LF member who lives in Barbados.

I let mine go for $ 95 which is what is was worth IMHO.

It was nice for shooting my LP-08 but the stock lug attaching iron was not machined that well and was always a bit loose when attached.

John is absolutely correct. This is a repro. But watch the wording, the seller never said that this was an original holster or stock. Artillery Lugers are fun to shoot with a stock. But don't get carried away by paying too much.

Not necessarily. I called CMR recently and they were out of this item. I have not heard that they have it back in stock. Jerry Burney
