Luger pistol DWM 1918 New luger found in holland
This pistol has found by someone at home in the Netherlands a sort time a go. I hope, that one of you can give of any information of this weapon.
The serial of it is 3515, I forgot to note the suffix but I give you this later if it is necessary. It has also a regimentâ??s number on it on the metal beyond the grips on the site of the trigger. The number is: R.S. 4.19 The two magazines ware loaded whit ammo from WW1. The ammo was dated 1914-1915 and eats clip has 5 cartridgeâ??s The luger is in good condition and all of the numbers match. Question: whitâ??s regiment was this? and what is the prize of this luger when I sold it? |

R.S. 4.19 is an Imperial German unit stamp that signifies: Reserve-Sanitats-Kompagnie 4, waffe no. 19. Is there a date above the chamber and what is the complete serial number with suffix? Thanks Jan |

Luger pistol DWM 1918 New luger found in holland
Thank you for your replay Jan.
The date above the chamber is 1918 and the suffix whit serial is 3515 g and was made by DWM. The exacted date of the ammo was s-10-18 there ware 9 out of 10 and one was date s-10-17, this means I think, 1918 and 1917 I don't no what means the s or the 10 on the bottom of the case. Mercedes200 |

You have an interesting 1918 dated Luger with 1917 and 1918 dated ammunition. The collectors on this site would like to see photographs of both. Thanks Jan |

The value of a Luger is difficult to determine without examining the Luger in question in detail first hand. A value range might be from $400 to $1800. Depends on if in original matched condition or not. Also the value in Europe may be different than in the U.S. Your photographs will help some in that determination. Jan |

Hi,
I would be delighted to do some rough inspection on the pistol and ammo as I live in the Netherlands as well. Provided that the luger is registered, legal, etc.... |

Very nice,
Finish appears to be all original. You said it will probably end up in a museum collection. Which museum will that be? |
