Nice collection! I like those little guys too. I have three that I have held on to for years...a 1900 Browning with the early pistol logo grips, a JÃ?Â¤ger and a very early 1907 Dreyse. Just can't bring myself to part with them.

Ron, went to a local auction here in NH, I saw a number of 1910, 1914 and 1934's, I bid on several, but not being knowledgable enough, did not extend my bidding too high. Another p38 member bought a couple. I was interested in the 1920 / police marked ones, they went from $325-$550? I was being careful of money, as I kinda picked up this little one;

Surely you don't store them just in that flimsy box. Here in the People's Republic they'd be gone from your house in a matter of days. Either people in OR are honest to a fault, or that box gets put in a sturdy safe?

After a little brousing this evening I came across your batch of Mausers which are clearly part of the group pictured in your VHS cabinet.

I like the M-1s too. Remind me of my trusty M-14 nearly 40 years ago.

Aaron,

They do get locked in an 5/8" Armor plate ship's safe when unattended.

It also helps to have an Aussie mix with an attitude, and a 90lb Lab mix. Pretty secure "Meth freak" insurance.

I do like Mausers. Almost as much as Lugers.

I like your Astra. I have sevral in the "pocket gun" catagory a 300, 3000 and 4000. Right now I am in the process of reblueing a trashed Condor.

The next time I am in Springfield I can bring them by your shop.

You are absolutely right (as usual).
I checked the wall at KrausewerK today while I was waiting to start the paperwork on my Mauser C96. Besides a few Garands, Mike has one M1A. The biggest difference between it and a standard M14 is a non-standard flash suppressor and the winged front sight is missing. I have seen others on G-A with correct flash suppressor and sight. Of course there is no selector for full-auto and has only a ten-round magazine as per Kalifornia law. Everything else seems to be GI standard.
