Question Gunsmith to Install a 4" barrel on P08

Anybody know of a gunsmith near Rockville Maryland who can correctly intall a 4" replacement barrel??? I am a new member and new to Lugers I bouught a 1940 Code 42 matching numbers reblued P08 and would like to replace the barrel... Thanks!!

Ron,

Either Luger Doc or myself can install a new bbl for you. It is only necessary to send the complete upper unit, and that can be sent thru the mail. The BATF does not consider this part a "firearm", just the frame. Be very careful who you get to replace a Luger bbl, without the proper tools, it is very easy to warp the receiver.

Hugh does good work. I have heard that Tom "Luger Doc" is good also. Both are highly respected and honest. (Kinda)

I've heard nothing but praise for both of these mens work.
As for the honest part, praise again as the day is long.
But I have heard some bad things about those Armadillos when they get into their cups.
