Greetings, information search request.
Greetings to you all. I am typicaly a collector of US GI infantry weapons but decided that I'd like purchase a German pistol to go along with my Mausers. I'm stepping into untested waters here, as lugers are pricey and my intel on them is very limited. Before buying, can anyone tell me of some good informational websites (other than this treasure chest of info) and books worth checking into? My focus is on purchasing a Nazi era luger. Thanks to all who help and have a great evening.

katch, welcome to the forum. There are two really good websites on lugers, this one and Jan Still's forum. (see links and resources on the left). This area also has a listing of books. Jan's Third Reich Lugers is probably the best one on the era you are looking for.
Decide if you want a rep pistol, or a collectable pistol (big difference in price). Ed

Thanks Ed. I want something thats going to be an investment but I want something that I can shoot on occasion and not feel guilty. With historical firearms I just can't help myself. Owning one, for me, is like buying an icecream cone. I can stare at it only for so long
