Look at the side plate, it's square not rounded at the edges.

I e-mailed the seller and here is his response:
You are right!! I never noticed this before. I looked at a bunch of other Lugers and the only ones that had squared off side plates were 2 Dutch Lugers. Most of the Dutch Lugers were refurbished at one time or another and usually marked for that year. I may take this pistol out of the auction, because, after closer inspection, I find that the proof mrks. on the right side are fairly faint (like they had been sanded down) and not easy to discern what they are. I had better re-evaluate this pistol. Thanks for the info |
