Thanks for the news story and the Rest Of The Story (as Paul Harvey says) when you get it TAC.

I have been madly attempting to squirrel away undetectable funds from my wife's watchful gaze for just this nifty little toy. I had to have one the moment I spied an ad for them last week. With ammo prices going up, up, and away, it seems like it might be a fun way to regain those heady days of my youth blasting through bricks of .22LR like there was no tomorrow...
G&R Tactical seems to have the best price so far at $479. They are just now starting to hit the streets over here in the States.
Here is an image shamelessly lifted from another fine purveyor:

Of course, if I buy this, it's $500 less towards my next Luger...

I want one! Boy, it sure looks like a sweet deal. It will go fine together with my AR15 with the .22 â??blowback bolt kitâ?. Maybe Ill get a dedicated 22 upper for the AR15 so as to better compete with the GSG Firearms H&K M5 - 22 cal.

IMO making holes in a piece of paper (shooting range) is only worth cheap 22LR cal ammo, and plinking is only worth 22LR also. Actual hunting is a whole 'nother story

In Malta we just received the GSG 5 last week, I do not know the price, but I will check it to morrow and let you know. What I can tell you is that the magazine is blocked to take only 5 rounds, but that should not be a problem.

I have one and it is quite a bit of fun. The cheap ammo at wal-mart had some feeding problems but the better stuff feeds well. There is some talk on availability and functions over at gsg5forum.com

Take heart Tac. They way our fearless leaders are sinking the dollar it will be no time at all before our price is $5000. We're going to have to update the phrase "not worth a Continental"!

Tac, I'm surprised that you are unaware that prices in th UK are almost identical to those in the US, except we place a dollar sign before the number and you Brits use a pound sign preceding the number. As I discovered during my last stay in London a few months ago, a $3 ice cream cone ("cornet" to you) cost 3 pounds, almost exactly the same as in southern California.
