Default 1916 Dwm

Gentlemen,

I have not posted on here for a long time, but today I finally took some photos of my lugers. Here is my LP 08. The upper has been replaced after someone cut the original barrel, perhaps to remove some damage. It came with two wood bottom magazines that don't match and a reproduction shoulder stock. I paid $700 about five years ago. I wonder what it's worth? (It's not for sale).
Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

I don't know how to put more than one picture at a time.

I'm worse than I thought.

Given the new barrel, it is probably best thought of as a shooter. Artillery shooters seem to be going for around $1000 =/- I recently paid $1150 for a matching 1917 artillery that had been reblued. That snubby barrel should be given a decent burial. Good luck!

Another way to get an idea of value is to go to www.gunbroker.com and put in a search for "Luger" and see what is being asked for LP08s.

Mark, I can't agree on the 1000 as your Artillery is looking pretty sweet right about now!
My estimate would be in the 1500 range for the pistol alone. How does it shoot?

Thanks for the replies. The pistol really does look good in person. The worst wear is on the side plate. The barrel and upper reciever have slightly better finish than the rest of the gun. I think it's original finish on all parts. It shoots good. I have never tested it on a bench but offhand it shoots as well as any and better than some.
