E/655 stamped Mauser 1934
Hey guys,
I recently picked this one up. According to Stills, the army only procured about 8000 of these things. Does the fact that it is army proofed add to the value any and if so, how much? It's matching and finish is over 90% with only slight holster wear. |

Brian... are you saying that the gun is marked 1934? or is marked with a "K" over the chamber?
...and what part of Maryland are you from? I live in VA

OOPS! I should have clarified. It isn't a Luger, it's a Mauser Model 1934. I had always understood that those things weren't worth much but I'm hearing that simply because this thing has army acceptance proofs it's over 1000. That would be great! It's another candidate for a Jager trade. I'm about a half hour west of Frederick in a little place called Hagerstown.

That's pretty darn close! Years ago I bought a Royal Enfield motorcycle that came from Clearbrook Indian in Winchester.

They are neat pistols.
Have seen them on some US auctions go for about 1000USD with waffenamt. Where I live (elected worlds most expencive city btw), we are lucky enough to purchase the proofed ones for 350USD. That is.. if you have lisense to purchase it.. Like this link Frustated regards, Steinar

I guess I got lucky as I paid considerably less than that....and it came with a wartime shoulder holster although I am pretty sure it is not the one that was issued with it. I will have to get some pictures up soon. So it is now official. It is on the list of pistols that are to be traded for a Jager should one arise!
