Out for a few days
I will be off the forum, hopefully only for a couple of days. I am getting a new knee tomorrow. I have been told that recovery is pretty quick, so I will again be able to inflict myself upon you pretty soon.
I have heard that there are rumors afloat that I have acquired a Cartridge Counter. Let me put the rumors to rest and tell you it is true, and it is a dandy…right as rain and never been messed with. I have been paying it off over the last few months and was able to pick it up in Reno (it wasn’t at the show…I started the acquisition process in California). I want to get some photos posted, but getting stuff done before I go in for surgery so Sarah won’t be stuck with my chores has taken up most of my time. I will try to get some quality shots as soon as I can. So, if during your busy day tomorrow you happen to send a kind thought or two my way it will be most appreciated and I know the Boss will be listening. Thanks and God bless, Ron

Good luck with your surgery, Ron. My wife had two knee replacements (two years apart) and rehab is really vital. Our advice is to set up a stationary bike in front of the TV and rent "Victory at Sea" and "Band of Brothers". All the best, Norm

I had both of mine replaced in Dec. Can't say it's much fun. I'm sure you will do great. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Bill

My mom had her knee replaced 22 years ago, and the same surgeon replaced it again last year!
The old one had an estimated life of 15 years, so can't complain! The current procedure is far and away better than it was years ago. Best wishes for a fast recovery. Work hard at Physical Therapy. It's literally a pain, but it's the path back! Marc

Our thoughts with you for the knee replacement. My wife had one done a couple of years ago and physical therapy is the key to recovery. Congrats on the cartridge counter too.

Hi Ron..!
Jen's and my thoughts are with you for a speedy recovery!!! We'll be thinking of you - and remember, the best therapy for your knee would be to start chasing the nurses around the ward..? Just sayin'... John |
