Nikola -
You're not getting a lot of love here for two reasons: 1 - For Sale items should be placed in the Lugerforum Classifieds/Lugers and Firearms For Sale sub-forum http://forum.lugerforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=139 2 - I suspect that anyone interested in buying this Luger is wondering how they'll get it from Croatia to where ever they are...Do you have any ideas??? There are specific rules on For Sale items as well, outlined in the sticky in the For Sale forum... Good luck!!!

Nikola, welcome,
Don't worry about the temporary lack of love. Do not be frightened away; rather, heed the advice of experience and adjust your post as necessary. I say that it is easy to break rules when one is ignorant of them. Simply review section rules and stickies and allow them to guide you. Use the search feature to find information about topics/issues you wish information about. It is difficult to say whether original from your pics--much higher resolution is necessary to maximize the accuracy of any assessment you receive regarding your pistol. However, if the purple/plum color of the barrel extension is disturbing to you, it may be original after all. This shift in color occasionally happens, over time, to some parts of some pistols. It appears when variables in hardness, alloy, and specifics of the bluing process combine in just the right way. It is not necessarily cause for alarm. Other members with more experience will review these statements I've made, so in case what I've noted is not correct, peer review will remedy that.

Maybe it is just me, but due to a difference in languages, and translations, I understood Nikola to be asking about the color because the Luger is up for sale and HE is interested in purchasing it for himself. I think that he is asking for help on this luger so that he doesn't get ripped off.
I may well be totally incorrect on this, but that is how I interpreted the post. |

I agree. The plumb color is characteristic of the Lugers of this era and from what I can see, it is the original finish.

Thanks for reply. I am asking help.
I am interesting for this Luger. The seller, also have second Luger DWM 1916, in original finish. Price is 1100 euro for both, or 650 euro for each, and I want both, price is better. If I buy lugers, I'll upload pictures. Thanks again.
