Black Widow Grip/Mag verification
Hello,
I just purchased this 'black widow' yesterday and I was looking to get your views on whether or these grips and this magazine are real/fake. The grips don't seem to fit very well on my luger on the right hand side and that sparked my curiousity. They both, however, seem very worn and they are loose Maybe I can put in some different screws to help keep them from bouncing around all the time. Off topic question, but would using a silicon wiping cloth be OK for this gun? |

is that 'byf 02' carving in the grips authentic as well? It looks like some guy who had this luger before me put that in there or maybe I'm wrong and it's original? Kind of hard to believe that though. Is there any way to prove that the mag I have matches the luger I have?

This is not a mark I've seen before and it is certainly not factory. I think your theory is a good one; some previous collector merely wanted to keep his grips and pistols straight.

In answer to your mag matching question. No, there is no way except to say it is period correct. Bill
