Default TopGun Sports

Does anyone know anything about the GunBroker seller TopGun Sports? Lately he has been listing a number of very interesting police Lugers.

Don't know anything about him, but he has many really nice lugers:

His inspection/return policy is not encouraging: "AS IS - No refund or exchange"

Fairly clean selling record, but four four neutrals

Don,
Do you think it interesting that the grip strap marking on the P-08 in auction# 318763516 is identical to the one on my 2203a that you and I discussed several years ago? To refresh your memory mine is a 1920 dated EWaA4 proofed 9mm police pistol and you speculated at the time that the marking on mine could have been short the weapon number for some reason as S.Hn11. seemed to be short a digit. I was going to send Wayne a note asking him for his thoughts, as I sense from some of the auction notes that he might have been in contact with this seller, but I've lost Wayne's email address. Perhaps you might have already discussed some of the nice looking police pistols this seller has listed with Wayne? I'm not suggesting that any of these pistols up for auction are not correct, but am curious why 2 police pistols from the same unit might have the same abbreviated grip strap marking.
Thx, Lyn

I'm curious too. According to my notes, your pistol has a matching mag marked S.Hn.II.112. I have assumed that the 112 was ground off the grip strap.

The GunBroker pistol also appears to have had the property number ground off.

I have no idea why.

That's true, in that the magazine on my pistol had the full S.Hn.II.112. marking, but even that number 112 was defaced some. It's almost as if they were trying to obliterate the weapon numbers in that unit for some reason. I've asked the seller if the pistol on auction has a unit mark on the spine of the magazine.

The Dove proofs on this pistol look almost non-existent.
