Repro Holsters From CMR International ...?
Any folks have any feedback on the repro holsters adverstised by CMR International ?
Thought I might pick up an artillery holster (cheap one for now) until a real one shows up on my door step...from the luger fairies... |

Re: Repro Holsters From CMR International ...?
My wife takes a yearly trip to visit family in Germany and brings me back a catalogue called "Waffen Franconia". I got a new one last week. Its a catalogue of European guns and accessories. There is also a historical section that deals with military guns and accessories. This time they had what you are looking for for 150 Euros and P08 & P38 repros for about 60 Euros. It was the leather attached to the wooden stock. It might be worth a little time and letter writing (they don't have email that I know of) to find out where they get theirs. The advertisement says they were made on the origonal machinery. The catalogoues are at work and I won't be in until Tuesday. Contact me if interested.

Here is a picture that CMR sent me before I purchased my Navy rig. I like it very much and is top quality.

Re: Repro Holsters From CMR International ...?
Pete,
I just received a catalog from Sportsmans Guide last evening and they have the entire Artillary rig, less the wood shoulder stock for approx. $80.00. I bought one of these early last year and it is a well made rig except the double mag pouch leather is a little thin and the straps are a little thin. Otherwise it is a nice holster for the price. Sportsmans Guide does have an internet site and you should be able to see a photo there. The rig was made in India, but the quality of workmanship is not bad for the price. Marvin |
