The dogtags are as individual as the men who wore them! I never really thought of them till George Anderson included the one pictured above with a the matching luger and camo hemut all from the 162nd! These pieces are still relevent in the present as the were a hundred years ago!! For many it was their only grave stone. From this one George provided as follows "Karl Zanderbirth, birth 15 March 1896, place of residence, Gorzhaven B. Teterow, unit: Ersatz Battalion I.R 162 . Theres a possibility Karl survived the war as his medal is still intact and not broken in half~ Thanks you Lon for all your support and kindness! ~~Eric
