Beautiful pistols on gunbroker
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=497619079
First let me say I am not sure that I put this in the right category. If not, please move it to the proper place. Second please understand I have no financial interest in the listing. Now on to the listing. The photos are wonderful. I only wish I could do such a presentation. I am not completely at ease with all the pistols. I do feel a little better about commenting on the Luger. One short coming I can see, it is fairly easy to say matched mags, when both are black bottom, common to a so call black widow. Another, is he is calling it a Luftwaffe. According to a well respected Mauser Book, there were some Luftwaffe byf41 Lugers, but no way to tell. BUT Capture Papers, belt, holster, tool and a beautiful Luger. WOW. The price is HIGH but he has some very nice guns. Mike |

That is a poor decision by the seller. Very hard sale. There is just no way to scale the value here. 40k 50k ?

nice guns
foolish to throw them in as a bundle / lot. I have noticed many older collectors seem to think that selling the ENTIRE collection as a lot is the way to go. If I could get it at 55% of the value, sure its wonderful, otherwise, now I am forced to sell items that don't fit my collection. Just because he values them all together doesn't mean others will? And anyone with the money to buy an entire collection usually wants 5 or 8 pieces out of 27 but strikes a hard bargain IMHO. And since he already went to all this work, it would have been easy to copy and paste, delete the other guns from each posting and made three gunbroker ads
