Default "The Rifleman" Article

...From the May 1960 issue of GUNS Magazine, by Rodd Redwing.

Interesting. I had just flipped by an old repeat of this show on MeTV and was curious about the loop in the lever...It's different than the loop John Wayne's Winchester used in "Stagecoach" and "Hondo".

I also didn't know it was a 44-40 Model 1892 rather than an 1894. (I don't know the difference).

Lots of fun anecdotes on the web about Wayne breaking his nose spin-cocking his rifle; Connor's big-league baseball first home run; "Gunsmoke"'s intro gag reel; whether "Rifleman"'s intro was 9 shots or 11 (or if there were two intros), etc...
