Default Nice looking Commercial at Cowan's Auction

It is indeed 9mm, export marked. I wish I had the clout to bid!

Vertical Crown/N. I suspect there is a suffix on the serial number. Unusual in 9mm though.

That's what I figured, not your average bear in 9mm. The suffix is "i"--I asked, and the barrel is serialized to the frame.

Ron, one thing I forgot to ask is exact bbl. length. This one looks like the 3 7/8" in military profile, like the Commercial .30s usually have, right?

I would want to confirm that the caliber is actually 9mm.

I think I have to re-check with that auction guy who responded. Strange answer, he said a 9mm would chamber but a .30 sticks out of the breech an eighth inch. I think he has his data reversed. I'll report back.

Notified today that this Luger is being withdrawn from the auction. In light of previous correspondence, better double-check info about anything at a Cowan's auction!
