Default Interesting 1913 DWM

A friend asked me to dispose of this late 1913 DWM for him. The Doughboy enhanced the right grip with something quite out of the usual. The WWII GIs liked to dress up grips with Third Reich insignia. This one is unique to the first war.

Pretty sure it was Austria at the time; later on in was indeed in the "Greater Reich".

Don
Thank you for the correction
I guess DWM was buying parts from Austria ?
or were they just using BÖHLER Steel to machine their barrels ?

My understanding is the mark corresponds to the metal harness, but I could be wrong on that as well.

Maybe someone else that has been in Luger U longer than I can add their thoughts

Jim
