Crossbow Season Coming Up
My nephew is out hunting with his bow (not crossbow) this week. I saw a picture somewhere that showed a crossbow with two coil springs rather than the long flat spring.
(Seeing the thread on G.T.'s snail drums reminded me. The crossbow looks like it has a Luger snail drum on each side). Does anyone here know what that is? Are the claims for it true? I'm not looking to buy one...yet...Just curious as to how it works and what makes it better than a compound bow, or compound crossbow...

No bow hunters here??? Or is the crossbow I'm interested in so new that it's not common knowledge yet???
I was thinking of taking a ride up to Cabella's, but they showed a film of the store and it was crowded; some kind of kid's Xmas extravaganza going on as well as Xmas shopping.

Forgot to mention, my nephew went bow hunting this year, got a "nice 7 point on last day [of bow] after 33 days in woods". He mentioned it rained for 20 days then had 2.5 feet of snow.
He planned to finish up the season hunting with my old Enfield 'jungle carbine' which he says is a tack driver...
