Default 1900 Swiss Luger

I am seeing both strawed and blued extractors on the 1900 Swiss Lugers during some searches on the forum. Which is correct? I dont have any SWISS reference books. Thanks! I appreciate the help.

At one point, the Swiss redesigned the extractor and, in rework, installed their own version. The Swiss replacement is more robust.

Presumably, the Swiss M1900 Lugers were shipped by DWM with their standard (but more breakable) strawed extractor design.

This photo shows the upgraded Swiss extractor (blued).

An original 1900 would be straw; but as with all Swiss pistols- if "refinished" by the Swiss, it
could for sure be blue. JMHO.

The Swiss did repair/refurbish their Lugers. If a M1900 received this arsenal attention, an original serviceable extractor would remain straw colored. Replacement Swiss made reinforced extractors, whether replacing a damaged extractor or at the request of the issued officer, would be blue. I know of no original straw colored reinforced extractors.
