Dwight, without referring to my references I think that this means a partial or complete rebuild of a Luger by the unit armorer. Any malfunctioning parts were replaced with parts from the unit armorers 'kit' of parts. It could also mean a totally mismatched Luger that was put together after the war from parts that were left over from those found in the Luger factory by ocupying troops. Since the seller states that it is unnumbered except toggles, I suspect that it is a 'parts' gun. Others may have more info. If you want to do some fakin' or boostin' it is a great chance to get some critical parts that are unnumbered. LOL.

Now, Dwight...with that gun and some number stamps, YOU could own an all matching BYF 1940 Luger! [Only one known...see photo!]
http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/byf-40.jpg Many years back, In Pleasant Hill, CA, I examined a 1937 date BYF that was all matching, too. [I did not believe it, either!] it had a mix of Rust/Salt blue parts. ..I wish I had recorded the SN but I did not.
