Default Eric's Public Service Announcement

Instead of waiting in long lines, your local family doctor in most cases can give you and loved one the shot at no charge in office. They also give you a card to verify you had your shot! Your attitude toward this virus will change! One less thing to worry about!

not here in N.J. only large chain pharmacies + state run clinics - state refuses to distribute to small neighborhood pharmacies + doctors -

I suggest everyone call their own doctor first. We did and got in 3 days, no matter what state!

definitely not in N.J. - my primary care physicians + specialists all had to go to hospitals or CVS to get the shots -

Local doctors no way here - they had a convoluted system of age, etc, event eh VA, it was 75 locally, 65 150 miles away and 55 yrs old 180 miles away.
Recently they changed all of it (1 April, 16 and up with med conditions, and ages 60 and up). It is definitely state by state, which makes no sense, although many people like their state to be independent, for this, it should have been handled by the gov't. Get your shot, then we can have gun shows again...

Few (if any) doctors around here have the refrigeration facilities to store the vaccine(s).

Even some hospitals don't. I've been assigned a POD but whenever I check the site, it's NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE.

Also, vaccine is not arriving in the quantities that the Feds say it is. PODs are announcing vaccine arrivals and taking appointments and then they have to retract and cancel.

Real clusterfuck.

Good Point, we get our second shot next week. Although it doesn't seem to be a problem, I will ask my doctor! It may depend on the brand!

My brand Pfiser has to be stored in dry ice .I'm told of a new brand that does not need it! I just talked to our sheriff friend who directed you all to call your your local Department of Health or do a search for your states' Dept of Health! There has to be instructions or maybe forms! Try to get on a list! if possible~

Speaking for myself, I'm on two lists. The NYS DOH list, and the Niagara County DOH list. They're separate. As of a couple hours ago, they're still No Appointments Available.

The local paper posted that only 19% of those eligible have been vaccinated. They also quoted Biden's office as saying that sufficient stockpiles of vaccine have been reached and we can now consider exporting some to Canada and other countries. Yay! The pandemic's over! All hail Biden!

Here in my rural area, we're still on track to get vaccinated by February 2022. No one I know has gotten vaccinated.

The problems seems to be more with State Management than Federal. I have had both shots. Next week in Montana anyone 16 and older may sign up. Getting vaccine does not seem to be a problem. Bill

Hi,

He would do much better to protect us from the Chinese and Russians; rather than trying to grab credit for what the Trump administration OBVIOUSLY accomplished.

Default Covid Vaccines

The 4000 doses of vaccine sent to Mexico and Canada are the ones from Astra Zenaka which is not approved for use in the states but in many other countries. These are said to be a loan. There is a large inventory of this vaccine in storage in the states waiting for approval.

Covid is a global problem and needs to be fought globally or we will never be rid of it and return to a 'normal' society.

While every country must look after its own citizens you can also help in the global fight too.

Canada, like the USA looks after its citizens while not forgetting to share with other global communities. Its a matter of supply and balance.

It does you no good to vaccinate only your population if the whole world is sick ... new strains are mutating daily that your vaccine may not offer effective protection for.

Global problems require global solutions.
