Not just my dad, but also my mom.

Dad was in the 9th USAAF, HQ. His papers say he was a corporal and an armorer, but he said he drove trucks and a few officers around.

Mom was Welsh, both her and her sister were nurses during WW2. She had a scar on her leg from a piece of shrapnel she said she got during the bombing of Coventry. I actually have the piece she said was in her leg, always wanted to get it analyzed just to see if she was telling the truth or pulling one over on me.

Sorry about the sideways photo, tried to fix it

My aunt's husband was a British tank commander, story goes he was captured in Africa and spent nearly 2 years as a POW in Italy, only to escape and make his way back to England. Only met them both once when I was 5, my mom took me and my brother over to see granddad and grandma when they lived in Chester. My aunt and uncle lived in London at the time.
