I am just getting around to photographing some of the Lugers in my collection and took these photo's of my "black widow". I have owned the gun for some time and it is displayed on the door to my safe.

Hello Mark,

Really nice BW luger and great photo display.

Can you tell me what photo editing software you use that allows you to "collage" photos together and add text ? I have been using free software that comes with cameras and scanners...but it's time I pick up a real editing package...

Thought your BW could use some company...so posting my '41 byf with matching magazine, with '41 holster, with a correct but not matching 2nd. magazine, and with an E/655 marked take-down tool. My BW is British-proofed...

Pete,

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, it came with my camera! The photomerge and color correction menu is very easy to use, I hate having to read the instructions!

One tip that will make your photos "float" is to put the guns on a glass table or piece of plexiglass. A white board is placed underneath. Four 2 quart mason jars to support the plexi and the white board under the jars. Place your lights on either side, 250 watt lights in two banks will work fine, this eliminates the shadows!

Play with the color correction on the editing program or if you are using a professional lighting set up, use the white balance in your camera to the temperature of the lights. My 600 watt set up is rated at 3200k, but that might be too technical for most guys.

Take a lot of photos and have some fun!
