Unusual side plate.
Gun looks to be a total mis-match, but what I find unusual is the home made side plate. Looks like it would have been hard to make. Click the link.SIDE PLATE

Once again, I'll remove all doubt to my Luger knowledge, but that looks too well made to be a one of a kind basement special. Just maybe it was for a "special" version ?

The stamps on the right side are those of a 39 Mauser Banner Luger. It is obviously mismatched, and with that wierd side plate, maybe worth $350 for parts. Dont know why anyone would make that side plate as they are not that hard to find. Might be an underground home made job?? A super rare French Maqui model I'll bet, worth jillions, lets see what it really sells for.
