Eric, If the C/U under the barrel is narrower than the similar marks on the receiver, this maybe an E.German addition. If so, the 351 marking below if would incidacate that this barrel was added in March of 1951. TH

Hi,
Is the 381 on the barrel not an 8.81? This would make sense as the actual diameter in cm was struck on the barrel. |

Hi Eric,
If you cannot figure out the photo-posting routine on the LF, I would be happy to post them for you. Just send me your jpegs and I will post them for you in this discussion thread. Don't worry about file size. I can make them fit the 180 KB limit, if needed. Email to : "[email protected]" Regards, Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" /> |

esq.! Now your "handle" can be decoded! Pretty clever.
A clear closeup of the serial number on the front of the frame and the serial number and markings on the bottom of the barrel would be a big help in analyzing your Luger, and might preclude the necessity of shipping it to someone for inspection/evaluation.

Ron, I told him I would be glad to see his gun, as it looks like a nice one to me, but I think the best thing is to supply a few more pictures of close ups.
