Need valuation quickly
I have been offered the finest .30 caliber 1923 commercial P08 (five digit serial)I have ever seen, perfect in every way including the grips and the most outstanding unmarked wood base magazine one can imagine. Pistol is marked "Germany" on the right side of the frame. Being unfamiliar with commercial Lugers, I need a valuation from the forum membership.

Although this is out of my area of specialty, I would guess around $1,500-$1,800 if the Luger is outstanding/perfect as you describe and genuine.
An image would be helpful to make a better assessment. Good luck, Albert |

Thank you for the ballpark evaluation. I held the pistol in my hands for a detailed examination lasting about 30 minutes, but was unable to photograph it. Will submit photos as soon as I have the opportunity, as negotiations are underway and may take a week or so to close the deal.
