Post IDENTIFICATION OF IMPERIAL UNIT MARKINGS

References to identify and trace unit markings:
The Imperial German Regimental Marking by Jeff Noll 1998. This excellent book identifies the unit marking and the division the unit belonged to during WWI.

Histories of two Hundred and Fifty-One divisions of the German Army Which Participated in the War (1914-1918) 1920 Government Printing Office, Washington, DC USA

Gun Show Books has sold these books.

Jan thanks for the endorsment! My book The Imperial German Regimental Marking will solve most of your Regimental Marking translation questions. Take a look at my web site http://home.earthlink.net/~nopubl . The book also contains about 500 lugers with their Regimental Markings and translations. w/r Jeff Noll

Jeff - good to have you on board! Between you and Jan we should leave no Luger unit unidentified!

It appears to me that Jeff's book needs to be added to the Lugerforum Links & Resources page on Luger references...

Hey Dok, are you listening

Dok hasn't responded since yesterday, so he must be occupied... I just added it to the Links & Resources page myself...

The information was taken from your order page and the book title links to that page.
