Wow, Hugh, you are the "Rembrant" of Luger wood! We are indeed fortunate to have someone like you around. I'm also impressed at the result of your work with Dwight's Erfurt grips (see post below).

Hugh's checkering job is better than even the factory Nill checkering. Not only can he spruce up the checkering, take off old grime but he also can make lots of those gouges come out of those old grips! He IS THE Luger grip man IMO.

I'll certainly add my praise to this thread. The original grips that Hugh has restored and/or repaired for me are now works of art.
He is indeed a craftsman! Greg |

Hey I see a flat top diamond!! Really though I still can't figure out how Hugh shortened the grips for my Baby! I can't saw a board straight , but Hugh truly is the master!

Hey Doug,
They all have flat tops! I can do them with the sharp tops (new grip style) or with shiny flat tops (worn grips style), customers choice.

I have to add my $.02 here. When I sent my Luger to Thor, I thought I would have to get new grips. They were pretty ugly and very worn. When Thor finished with my gun, the grips were every bit as beautiful as the rest of my gun. I was amazed.
Both Thor and Hugh are masters at what they do. Probably none better.
