Post capture papers and documents

To all those who may be interested...going through my safes I found several large boxes containing capture papers and documents on most of the Lugers and German pistols that I have owned over the last 40 years. Like an HSC that belonged to General Leythauser who surrendered Regensburg and was summarily shot by the SS when he returned to the German lines to effect the surrender. If you think you have a pistol that came from my collection please advise and I will send what I have to you. It would be nice to put them together again. Thanks.........

I forgot to include the serial # of the HSC that belonged to General Leythauser. It's 849478. I have the Lt Col description on how he took it from the General..............Mike Morris

Mike, Even though it isn't a Luger, I know I would love to see the story of how that HSc was captured...

Ed Tinker collects such stories and is going to publish them when he gets enough of them.

Hi John ! Hey thanks for the reply.......if you will give me a mailing address, I'll send a copy of the description of the capture. Too long to try to do it on e-mail. I have many capture papers and details on how some of the Lugers I've had were captured by the vets themselves. Thanks again...........Mike
