Post Swiss Parabellum ammo box

just found a Swiss Luger ammo box.
Original packed.
one slot allowes a view into the cardridges - seemes to be steel cased ore something?

Nice find ! Do you know if the date on the box is the date the ammo was made or the date it expires...(i.e. too old to use).

The date is when they are made. The only question is for me right now, what is a "AVIONAL H�¼lse"?
Hulse is meaning: case, but what is "Avional"
The cases are looking like they are out of steel and plated with nickel?

I am pretty sure "Avional" is an aluminum, copper, magnesium alloy. I think it was developed for the aircraft industry, but I can't remember a reference.
