Post $550 Stainless

Gentlemen,

Is this pistol worth $550? Seller is having trouble with the feed.

[quote]CLASS: Handgun
MANUFACTURER: Mitchell Arms
MODEL: Other - See Description
ACTION: Semi-auto
CALIBER: 9 mm Luger
CONDITION: ANIB
DESCRIPTION: This is the second generation Stainless Steel Mitchell Luger replica, but I still have feeding problems with it. I tried every kind of ammo I could get from hardball to JHP, to hot to mild - no difference. I tried a different magazine - no difference. I like the pistol; it is fun to shoot and it is precise, but it fails to feed about half the time. I would like to send it off for a fix, but if someone wants it for a fair price, I will sell it. Comes with original box and second magazine.

Wes,

I moved your post to the Post WW2 forum because that is where most of the Stainless Steel discussion takes place...

IMHO, If I had the money I would buy it for that price... AIMCO should be able to make it function if you can't, since they are the ones that made it. I have heard that their customer service is sometimes slow but very thorough and customer satisfaction oriented...

Thumbs up

I'll give John an "Amen" on that. Some years ago when I was a. Sicherheitsdienst und Finanz Veraultung put me out of bidnez) I bought several of the "Stoeger" trademarked stainless pieces as gifts to family. Had trouble with one.

At the KC Januiary show, I ran into Mr. Ramo, who is now the "head Fred" at the manufacturer's.

Told him of the problem. He said, "Send it to the factory addressed to me personally with your business card affixed; it will be repaired and returned at no charge."

He was as good as his word.

FWIW< the wholesale price I was paying in the early '90's, was $360....
