Stainless options

I just got an answer to a couple of questions from AIMCO and found out that the following options are available on a 4.75 inch .30cal. They can be ordered with or without a grip safety and with knurled or dished toggles. Now I have to decide what configuration I want when I order mine.

Rick,

You are correct. I asked about a bright stainless finish and was then told about the two options of the toggles and grip safety. I have not seen the black version but if I am going to get a stainless steel gun, I want it to not have a black finish.

Since the 1900 American Eagle had the grip safety and dished toggles, that is probably my choice. In a couple of more months I will have the money saved up for this.

Wow, where can I apply to test fire that 45 Luger prototype for them! Wouldnt that be a kick (pun intended)!!!

Everytime I look at one of these stainless steel American Eagle Lugers, I wonder why they left off the field of stars above the eagles head, as in the original??? Copyright problem???

There is no website that I know of but they are listed on this forum under "Links and Resources"

The last message pertaining to the .45 from them said that they were still looking at mid 2004 for a release. It sounds like quite a few of us forum members will be standing in line!

There is no copyright problem for using the American Seal... the field of 13 stars as an integral part of the stamp, may have been too complex or expensive to create...

Does anyone know if this mark is stamped on the chamber? or is it laser engraved? If it is laser engraved, there is no reason why the star field couldn't be added at very little cost to manufacturing.

The seal on mine is definately stamped into the metal. Speaking of engraving, too bad Smith & Wesson doesn't offer their laser engraving services to firearms they didn't manufacture.
