Stainless Luger Article...
I've been looking for articles on any version of the Stainless Lugers. I went to a Half-Price Books and look for old magazines, hoping to get lucky. I came across the 2nd edition of "The Gun Digest Book Of 9mm Handguns" and after glancing through the table of contents, decided to buy it anyway. I got it home and looked through it, only to find an eight page article on the Mitchell American Eagle, starting on page 12!!! There is no mention of this in the table of contents at all. The gun gets an excellent review. Functioning without a problem and putting 500 rounds into a 6" circle at 25 yards, which got the author excited. He even says this is probably the best Luger ever. There is no mention of AIMCO though you can see it on the side of the gun, which is a 1992 Mitchell. The author even predicted there would be a big future for Mitchell just making replacement parts for older Lugers. They even put the Mitchell toggle, trigger and sideplate on a 1917 Luger to show how well it fits and works. The book was $5.95 and if you are interested in the Stainless Luger or 9mm in general, it is worth that price easily... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
